BARBER STYLIST
REQUIRED HOURS:
1200 Clock Hours
STATE REQUIREMENT:
In order to work as a Barber Stylist in the State of Arizona, an individual must possess a Barber License. In order to obtain a license, the individual must complete 1200 Clock Hours of Barber Stylist Training in a Licensed Barber School, have a GED or high school diploma and must be 16 years of age when apply for Barber License.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to teach barbering to individuals so that they can work as a Barber Stylist. Theory is taught in a classroom setting consisting of lecture and instructor demonstration.
COURSE GOALS:
Upon completion of the course, the graduate will possess the required knowledge and skills to pass the Arizona Board of Barbers Examination and obtain suitable employment in the field of Barbering.
COURSE FORMAT:
The course is taught with a combination of lecture, demonstration, and student practice, and experience on the public under the supervision of licensed instructor.
